Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s most diverse and scenic safari destinations, spanning crater lakes, savannah plains, wetlands, and forested hills. This variety supports rich wildlife including lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, and chimpanzees. One highlight is the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward, where massive concentrations of buffalos, hippos, and birds gather. In the southern Ishasha sector, visitors can glimpse rare tree‑climbing lions resting in fig trees — a unique East African sight.
