Kibale National Park is East Africa’s primate capital, famous for offering one of the world’s most accessible chimpanzee tracking experiences. The lush tropical forest is home to over 13 primate species including red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Trails lead through towering trees and dappled sunlight where guides help visitors spot and quietly observe chimp troops going about their day. Birders will delight in over 300 species, including African pitta and great blue turaco.
